Hello! My name is Mrs. Shadrix, and I am so excited to join Sand Hill Elementary as your new music teacher and become a proud Sand Hill Patriot! I was born and raised in Villa Rica, attended Villa Rica schools, and was inspired by many wonderful music and theater teachers right here in Carroll County. It means so much to me to come back home and share my love of music with the community that started it all!

I earned my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Columbus State’s Schwob School of Music, along with my teaching certification and Master of Music Education from the University of West Georgia. I also hold an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kennesaw State University this will be my ninth year teaching and elementary music has been and continues to be my passion! 

Outside of the classroom, I’m a bit of a nerd—I love performing in musicals, dressing up for the Renaissance Festival, reading a good book, painting and crafting wall plaques, playing board games, and baking. I recently married my best friend, Stan Shadrix, and together we enjoy traveling, cooking, 3D printing projects, and playing video games. I can’t wait to make music, memories, and share in the Patriot Pride with all of you this year!
